This little girl is very dear to our hearts. Her name is Karah.
She was born with Spina Bifida. As her first surgery came at just hours
old. She was rushed to Riley's to close the opening in her lower back
when they also noticed the hydrocephalus (water on her brain) a second
surgery was required to remove the water involving a shunt. The doctors
and nurses were certain Karah would never walk or run like most other
children, but were amazed at the activity and movement of her legs while she recovered from her surgeries.
She has endured several more surgeries since birth, but she continues to be a strong trooper filled with
love and happiness. Karah is now an active 8 year old involved in many sports such as cheerleading and
softball. She has inspired us to give back to both The Ronald McDonald House and Riley's Children's Hospital.
Both places are a second home to her and her family. We are Blessed that Karah had such Wonderful
care from all the doctors, nurses and staff. Please donate to either charity to help other children and
families in need.

The Cheer Guild at Rileys handles all the donations for The Toy Room. The link below will take you to The Wish List for this holiday Season
